Formix PDF (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is handled when you use Formix PDF.

1. Who we are

Formix PDF is a document tool that helps you create invoices, scan documents, and improve text. The app is provided as a web application and progressive web app (PWA).

2. Information we handle

Depending on how you use the app, the following may be processed:

Content you enter — company details, client details, invoice line items, notes, and text you paste into AI tools. This stays on your device unless you choose to download or share a PDF.
Images you upload — logos and scanned document photos are processed in your browser to generate PDFs.
Local preferences — settings such as default company name, contact info, and subscription/trial status may be stored in your browser’s local storage on your device.
Technical data — if we use hosting or analytics providers in the future, standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and approximate location) may be collected by those providers.

3. How we use information

To generate PDFs and provide app features you request
To remember your preferences on your device
To operate, maintain, and improve the service
To process subscriptions when payment is enabled

4. Where data is stored

In the current version, most of your content is processed on your device in the browser. Preferences and trial/subscription flags may be saved in local storage on that device. We do not operate a user account database in the current version.

If you later create an account or pay through a payment provider (for example Stripe), that provider will process payment-related information under their own privacy policy.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

With service providers who help us host or operate the app (under appropriate agreements)
If required by law or to protect our legal rights
With your direction (for example when you download or send a PDF yourself)

6. Cookies and local storage

The app may use browser local storage (and similar technologies) to save preferences and app state. These are used for functionality, not advertising in the current version.

7. Data retention

Content used to generate a PDF is generally not retained by us after processing on your device. Local storage data remains on your device until you clear it or use the in-app “Clear local data” option.

8. Children’s privacy

Formix PDF is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your choices

You can clear local app data from the Account screen
You can clear browser site data in your browser settings
You can stop using the app at any time

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
